Emit Hotel Ueno offers a convenient location for exploring Tokyo. It's located near Asakusa, which is easily accessible within a 20-minute walk or a quick 5-minute bus ride. Its proximity to a train station also makes it a great base for getting around the city.
The rooms are small, which is a common characteristic of hotels in Tokyo. However, despite the limited space, the rooms are comfortable.
If you prioritize a well-connected location with easy access to Asakusa and public transportation, and you're comfortable with smaller room sizes, Emit Hotel Ueno is a good option.

Compact room with all the essentials (ok for 1 large luggage and 1 small luggage). Value for money, convenient location, short walk to 2 train stations. The fridge temperature is centrally controlled and not very cold, front desk staff was very helpful and offered to store a few small items for me in their back office fridge.

Upon arrival, I noted the absence of lighting within the shower area, an unusual design feature confirmed by the receptionist as standard across all rooms. Additionally, a musty odour is present upon opening the shower door, suggesting inadequate ventilation.
The room's dimensions are sufficient to accommodate two large pieces of luggage, making it suitable for couples.
However, the availability of power outlets is limited. Furthermore, the light switches are not fixed, which presents a challenge for individual lighting preferences, such as maintaining toilet illumination overnight or selectively illuminating specific areas while my partner is resting while I wash up in the morning.
The surrounding area provides a diverse selection of dining establishments, ensuring convenient access to food even after 8 p.m.

Excellent location and super clean room. Only complaint is very small room and shower room . Saving grace is separate toilet and shower. The basin the outside , so room tend to get wet
