the only ryokan in a small town near narita. traffic is sparse. won’t be disappointed if you want a traditional experience

I had a great stay in a quiet place away from the city. The owner was friendly and the traditional ryokan was very impressive.
You can take a nearby bus to the airport, but it can be confusing
but I used Google Maps well.

It was a little old, but it was okay for a one-night stay. The staff were friendly, as the reviews said. The room had a slight smell of odor. The hot water in the bathroom didn't come out well.

As a family (with teen-agers) we decided to visit Japan for the first time ever. We wanted to stay in a traditional Japanese Inn. This place was a lucky find. Not just the authentic accommodation but also we were so well looked after by the hostess who fed us delicious Japanese breakfast, gave us recommendations for activities and showed us traditional Japanese clothing and crafts. It was a delightful introduction to the country in a lovely setting. The hostess did not speak English but had a useful electronic translator that worked well for us to communicate. Highly recommended this.
